What is Coaching?
Coaching is a different kind of work than therapy — less about understanding the "why" and more about figuring out the "what's next." It's a good fit for clients who have done therapeutic work and are ready for a more solution-focused, forward-moving relationship, or for those who simply want structured support around a specific goal rather than clinical treatment.
People come to Tenet for coaching help with:
Career Guidance · Life Planning & Goals · Decision-Making · Confidence & Direction · Relationship Goals · Personal Growth · And More
How Coaching Works
Goal-oriented, not diagnosis-driven
Practical and forward-moving
Built around where you want to go
Often a next step after therapy
Direct, honest guidance
Accountability that actually sticks
How It Works
Sessions are 50 minutes and available in person or virtually. The structure mirrors therapy in format, but not in approach — coaching is solution-focused and forward-looking, centered on your goals rather than a clinical process.
Coaching vs. Therapy
An important distinction.
Coaching is not therapy. It does not involve diagnosis or treatment of a mental health condition, and it isn't a substitute for clinical care. Coaching is a goal-oriented, advice-focused relationship designed to help you move forward with clarity and intention — often a natural next step for clients who have completed therapeutic work and are ready to focus on what's ahead.
If you're unsure whether therapy or coaching is the right fit, reach out and we can help you figure out which makes the most sense for where you are.
